Overview:
Each week, you will be paired up against another opponent. You will predict the winners of all 9 AFL games that week. You earn points for each team that wins, that you pick. (If that team ties, you earn half the points. Round up, if necessary) Your total score will be compared to your opponent's that week. That comparison will determine if you win, lose, or tie that week.

Point Values:
Prior to each week, the Commissioner will divide the AFL standings or power ranking into 6 pods of 3 teams each. The top 3 teams are Pod 1, the next 3 are Pod 2, etc...
Once in pods, the following formula will be utilized to determine the value of each team that week. The numbers 1-6 below indicate the Pod number. The numbers in () reflect points assigned to that team.

(15) 1 vs 1 (15)(15) 2 vs 2 (15)(15) 3 vs 3 (15)(15) 4 vs 4 (15)(15) 5 vs 5 (15)(15) 6 vs 6 (15)
(10) 1 vs 2 (20)(12) 2 vs 3 (18)(13) 3 vs 4 (17)(13) 4 vs 5 (17)(14) 5 vs 6 (16)---

(5) 1 vs 5 (25)(8) 2 vs 6 (22)------------
(4) 1 vs 6 (26)---------------
Visiting teams will also get 2 extra points added to their assigned point values.

Bonusing:
New for 2025: You will be allowed to bonus up to 2 games each week. After picking your winners, you can elect to "double-up or lose" 0, 1, or 2 teams. If you pick a team that wins with a bonus, you will earn those points-doubled. If you pick a losing team with a bonus, you will lose the points that were allocated to that particular team. You are not required to bonus or use both bonuses each week.

AFL Style Scoring:
To make our final scores resemble Australian Style, the number of goals you attained will be the sum of all games picked that you won + any games you picked correctly between two teams that were within 10 assigned points of each other +/- bonuses won/lost. The number of behinds attained will be based on the difference between the total points your scored and the points scored via goals.

Making Picks:
Picks are made with the internet picksheet. Link for this is on the main webpage for the league.

Schedule:
The league will utilize a round-robin style schedule with no divisions. The top 6 teams will clinch playoff spots.

Tie Breaker Rules:
1. Head-to-Head
2. Total Points Scored in Season
3. Record vs winning teams
4. Point differentital in head-to-head

Ties: For this league, two ties equals one win when organizing the ladder (standings).

Negative Points:
Because of bonusing, it is possible for a team to finish with negative points. In that case, the team will simply be assigned a score of "0".
If two teams end up with different scores of negative points, the final score will be 0-0.
